Mechanical squeezing in a cavity optomechanical system with the Coulomb interaction and an optical parametric
None:
A theoretical scheme is proposed to generate the steady-state position-quadrature squeezing of a mechanical resonator in a single cavity optomechanical system with the Coulomb interaction and an optical parametric amplifier (OPA). Our result manifests that the squeezing far beyond 3 dB can be generated via a cooperative process of cavity cooling and mechanical parametric amplification (MPA) induced by the Coulomb interaction. Remarkably, the resulting squeezing can go beyond a bad cavity limit with the assistance of the optimal setting of OPA and exhibits strong robustness against the cavity decay rate. Due to the lack of reliance on a good cavity and no need for any measurements or feedback, our scheme is favorable for practical experiments.
