Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) offer a new approach for obstructive colon cancer (OCC) in patients with DNA mismatch repair-deficient/microsatellite instability-high (dMMR/MSI-H) tumors. These treatments can rapidly relieve symptoms and enable curative surgery, avoiding traditional decompression procedures.
