Abstract:
Pulmonary adenoid cystic carcinoma is a rare tumor of the lung. This case highlights the unique presentation and challenging diagnosis. Despite extensive multidisciplinary discussions, chemotherapy or trials were not available for treatment. The patient underwent an extrapleural pneumonectomy as first-line treatment. This case highlights the possibility of extrapleural pneumonectomy for treatment in future patients presenting with aggressive pulmonary adenoid cystic carcinoma.
