    Background:

    • Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is a rare gastrointestinal disorder characterized by eosinophilic infiltration.
    • Peripheral eosinophilia often accompanies gastrointestinal eosinophilic infiltration.
    • Esophageal involvement is an uncommon but recognized manifestation.

    Observation:

    • Three new cases of eosinophilic infiltration of the esophagus were identified.
    • All patients presented with a significant history of allergies.
    • Upper esophageal strictures were observed in two patients, consistent with previously reported cases.

    Findings:

    • Esophageal strictures appear to be the most frequent clinical manifestation of eosinophilic esophagitis.
    • One patient exhibited polypoid lesions in the esophagus and other gastrointestinal areas.
    • Potential accompanying symptoms include esophageal motility disturbances.

    Implications:

    • Eosinophilic esophagitis should be considered in patients with esophageal disorders, particularly those with a history of allergies or peripheral eosinophilia.
    • While corticosteroids may offer some benefit, esophageal strictures often necessitate mechanical dilation to address submucosal fibrosis.
    • This condition highlights the systemic nature of eosinophilic infiltration and its impact on the upper gastrointestinal tract.
