Abstract:
The pterygomaxillary and zygomatic implants offer a viable alternative to maxillary sinus floor elevation in treating atrophic posterior maxilla, providing the benefit of immediate restoration. However, the limited visibility and the complex anatomy of the maxilla make the surgery more challenging. This brief clinical study describes a subsequent guide for placing pterygomaxillary and zygomatic implants and performing the osteotomy of the maxillary sinus bone window. This approach ensures precise implant placement and helps avoid intraoperative complications.
