Circles ReBoot: A Feasibility Study and Preliminary Outcome Evaluation

In response to the increasing numbers of individuals accessing online child sexual exploitation material, Circles UK developed Circles ReBoot, a strength-based programme aimed to support attendees to pursue an offence-free lifestyle. This feasibility study of Circles ReBoot, which was based on the RE-AIM principles, highlighted positive outcomes across all domains, with the strongest evidence for Reach and Adoption. Effectiveness and Implementation were achieved and generated specific suggestions for further development. Maintenance was limited due to the timeframe of this study but showed promise. A common suggestion was the need for unstructured elements in the programme. The evaluation also highlighted different views on the integration and/or focus of the participants' offending behaviour. Findings from this feasibility study informed a set of recommendations to the intervention provider and are discussed here with regards to evaluation research in forensic settings.
