Peripheral retinal neovascularization (PNV) is common in proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR), often coexisting with other neovascularizations. This highlights the need for comprehensive imaging beyond standard fields, especially in younger patients.

- Vigilant monitoring and tailored management are crucial, especially for younger PDR patients with PNV.
