Rotational thromboelastometry (ROTEM) in pediatric intensive care: A single center experience

Summary

Rotational thromboelastometry (ROTEM) did not significantly alter transfusion needs in critically ill children, including those on ECMO. However, FIBTEM maximum clot firmness (MCF) showed a moderate correlation with fibrinogen levels, potentially aiding rapid coagulation assessment.
