Background:
Persistent left superior vena cava (LSVC) to unroofed coronary sinus (CS) poses long-term risks, including cyanosis and paradoxic embolus with stroke, as well as left to right shunting at the CS ostium. We present a case in which 3D modeling enabled a novel technique for repair with transcatheter baffling.
Case Summary:
A 56-year-old woman with dyspnea, hypoxemia, and atrial arrhythmias underwent successful transcatheter baffling of her LSVC to CS after preprocedural planning with advanced imaging and 3D model printing.
Discussion:
Although surgical techniques for this congenital lesion are well described, this novel approach enabled a minimally invasive repair via transcatheter baffling.
