Herein, a novel, catalyst-free method for synthesizing enol ester functionalized sulfonyl fluorides is used using 2-chloroprop-2-ene-1-sulfonyl fluoride in a nucleophilic substitution with carboxylic acid derivatives. The method offers mild conditions, short reaction times, high purity, and efficient modification of drug candidates, advancing both organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry.
