Abstract:
Nine previously undescribed drimane sesquiterpenoids, ganoresinosins A-I (1-9), were isolated from cultures of basidiomycete Ganoderma subresinosum. The absolute configuration of ganoresinosin H (8) was determined using the modified Mosher's method. Ganoresinosin A (1) showed antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum K1 (IC50 34 μM), whereas ganoresinosin E (5) exhibited antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra (MIC 12.5 μg/mL).
