Abstract:
Long-standing venous thrombosis can result in chronic venous occlusions, ultimately leading to chronic venous insufficiency and venous ulcerations, a condition known as post-thrombotic syndrome. Venous ulcerations alone impose a significant financial burden and worsen individuals' quality of life. Current management of deep venous occlusions has focused on endovascular approaches. However, in the cases where these interventions fail, a venous bypass surgery may be considered as an alternative. We present three cases of chronically occluded venous bypasses that underwent successful thrombectomy using RevCore (Inari Medical), a new thrombectomy device designed to treat in-stent thrombosis.
