However, concerns regarding product buildup from water-insoluble silicones and the environmental implications of certain cyclic silicones have emerged. Recent advancements in silicone technology, including water-dispersible and nano-encapsulated systems, aim to mitigate these issues while preserving the benefits of enhanced hair texture and protection against thermal and chemical damage.
