None:
A new 3,4-secodammarane derivative (1) was obtained from the bark of Ailanthus altissima. The combination of spectral analysis and the computation of electronic circular dichroism (ECD) has definitively confirmed the absolute configuration of the compound. This configuration has been identified as methyl (20S, 24 R)-epoxy-25-hydroxy-3,4-secodammar-4(28)-en-29-al-3-oate. Furthermore, Compound 1 exhibited notable inhibitory effects on two specific cancer cell lines: the MDA-MB-231 and the SW620. The calculated IC50 values for these cell lines were found to be 23.02 and 20.88 μM, respectively, indicating a significant potential for this compound in therapeutic applications against these types of cancer.
