Uniform Standard of Neurosurgery Training and Evaluation in India - Need of the Hour

At present, neurosurgery training and examination have varying standards between different universities/ institutes/hospitals. This has led to varying standards of neurosurgeons, their surgical skills, and employability as consultants in hospitals/institutes. We need to address this issue very seriously. There needs to be uniformity in the minimum standard of neurosurgical training and uniform pattern and standard of exit examination. This article deals with the problems in detail and possible solutions.
