Abstract:
Shade matching is challenging in day-to-day dental practice due to factors such as the polychromatic nature of teeth and light mechanics under various conditions. Smart monochromatic composite has the property of chameleon effect, which gives the composite restoration the ability to mimic the shade of the surrounding tooth structure, thereby giving a natural outcome. This case series has evaluated the result of smart monochromatic composite for direct anterior teeth restorations in different patients. The majority of cases gave promising results with admirable shade-matching results and color stability. Hence, it can be used on a daily basis in clinical practice.
