[Acute-onset nephritis in middle-aged and elderly patients]

Abstract:
Ten cases of the pronounced acute nephritic syndrome among patients aged 61 to 82 years are analyzed. In 3 cases, which eventuated in lethal outcome, the diagnosis of nephritis was confirmed morphologically. The features of the course, clinical picture and differential diagnosis of acute nephritides in elderly and senile patients are discussed.
