Abstract:
This article presents a new family of cinnoline-based green-emitting dyes, ABCDyes (amino-benzo-cinnolines). The multiple synthetic routes available to access them allow for high structural diversity. A photophysical study, supported by TD/DFT, explores their solvatochromic mechanism and fluorescence properties across 15 dyes. Some have been successfully used in live cell imaging, highlighting their potential as future imaging agents.
