Abstract:
Sulfonimidoyl fluorides have emerged as pivotal building blocks in sulfur(VI) fluoride exchange (SuFEx) click chemistry. Herein, we present an electrochemical strategy enabling direct anodic oxidation of sulfenamides to access N-protected sulfonimidoyl fluorides under mild conditions. This electrochemical protocol does not require preoxidized sulfur (VI or IV) precursors, stoichiometric oxidants, or costly electrophilic fluorinating reagents.
