    Summary

Maternal treatment with Hexoprenaline, a uterine relaxant, showed no adverse effects on infant development. Newborns and three-year-olds exposed to Hexoprenaline exhibited normal health and developmental findings.

    Area of Science:

    • Obstetrics and Gynecology
    • Neonatal Health
    • Pediatric Development

    Context:

    • Maternal use of uterine relaxants during pregnancy.
    • Hexoprenaline as a tocolytic agent.
    • Assessing infant outcomes following prenatal exposure.

    Purpose:

    • To evaluate the safety and developmental impact of Hexoprenaline exposure in infants.
    • To determine if maternal Hexoprenaline treatment affects early childhood development.

    Summary:

    • Two groups of children exposed to maternal Hexoprenaline treatment were assessed.
    • Examinations included newborns (first week) and three-year-olds.
    • Comprehensive assessments covered internistic, neurological, electrocardiogram (EKG), and blood analyses.

    Impact:

    • No signs of pathological development were observed in either age group.
    • All assessed health and developmental parameters were within normal limits.
    • Findings suggest Hexoprenaline is safe for fetal development with no discernible negative impacts.
