  • 41.7% of 1500 patients had IV. IV patients were older, more frequently female, and had higher rates of tobacco and recreational drug use.

  • Increased odds of IV were linked to older age, recreational drug use, hypertension, DM, osteoarthritis-osteoporosis, cardiac, pulmonary, and rheumatological disorders.

Conclusions:

  • Inflammatory vasculitis is associated with older age, female sex, non-White race, tobacco, and recreational drug use.
  • Key comorbidities include hypertension, DM, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and rheumatological disorders, as well as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
  • These findings highlight the complex interplay of demographic, lifestyle, and comorbid conditions in inflammatory vasculitis.
