Solitary Fibrous Tumor of the Tarsus

The authors describe a case of eyelid tarsus solitary fibrous tumor in a 56-year-old female. There was no contributing history of trauma or surgery of the eyelid. A reddish pedunculated solid well-defined mass within the tarsal plate with a flat apical surface and circinate margins was identified. Excisional biopsy was done and histopathological and immunological findings helped make the rare diagnosis of solitary fibrous tumor. To the best of the authors' knowledge, with literature review, this is the first reported case of solitary fibrous tumor of the tarsus.
