Virtual Interprofessional Education Ideas for Nurse Practitioner Faculty

Two virtual and hybrid interprofessional education (IPE) activities involving family nurse practitioner (FNP) and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner (AGPCNP) students were conducted in an online graduate nursing program. One activity included FNP and AGPCNP and undergraduate sonography students; the other activity included the nurse practitioner students and undergraduate BSN students. These case studies highlight the possibilities of virtual interprofessional activities in graduate nursing education and how such activities can meet program competencies and student learning outcomes. Graduate faculty can replicate these scenarios or use them as inspiration for future IPE activities.
