Abstract:
A 26-year-old male with chronic ketamine use was admitted with abdominal pain and elevated infection numbers, and liver-function tests. An ultrasound of the upper abdomen showed a dilated common bile duct with no sign of gallbladder stones. A subsequent magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography and endoscopic ultrasound found no explanation for the dilated common bile duct. This case report describes a presumed rare case of ketamine-induced cholangiopathy, an important differential diagnosis of otherwise unexplained cholangiopathy.
