A new method using a piperazine-modified silica probe (SiO2-PP) enables rapid, sensitive detection of fatty acid esters of hydroxy fatty acids (FAHFAs) in edible oils. This breakthrough improves vegetable oil quality assessment by efficiently profiling functional lipids.
