Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare patient-perceived pain, anxiety, stress, and satisfaction with clinical outcomes.
  • To analyze these perceptions in surgical extractions of impacted mandibular third molars.

Main Methods:

  • A prospective, comparative clinical study involving 60 patients (30 male, 30 female).
  • Utilized the Visual Analogue Scale and Amsterdam Pre-operative Anxiety and Information Scale.
  • Statistical analysis included IBM SPSS Statistics 16.0, ANOVA, and Bonferroni's post hoc test (P < 0.05).

Main Results:

  • Female patients reported significantly higher anxiety and swelling scores than male patients.
