This study investigates the impact of engineered pore defects in nanographene on optoelectronic and chiroptical properties, including UV-vis absorption, fluorescence emission, circular dichroism (CD), and circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). By examining chiral nanographene derivatives with zero, single, and double pore defects, we observe significant blue shifts (>100 nm each pore) and enhanced fluorescence quantum yields. These results demonstrate that pore defect engineering is a powerful strategy for tuning nanographenes' properties and designing advanced functional materials.
