C5 palsy is a complication of cervical spine surgery characterized by limited shoulder abduction and/or elbow flexion. A novel strategy of contralateral C7 (cC7) transfer directly to the C5 and C6 roots is proposed with a feasibility study conducted on two fresh cadavers.
