Abstract:
This study determined the chloroplast genome sequence of Cyperus eragrostis Lamarck. The total length of the genome was 184,646 bp with a GC content of 33.3%. It featured a quadripartite structure: a large single-copy region (101,639 bp), a small single-copy region (11,231 bp), and two inverted repeat regions (35,888 bp each). The genome contained 132 genes, including 87 coding sequences, 37 tRNAs, and eight rRNAs. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that C. eragrostis was closely related to C. difformis. This study provides chloroplast data for C. eragrostis, offering a fundamental resource for phylogenetic and evolutionary studies, and applied research such as invasion and conservation biology.
