Two-port metasurface lens loaded frequency agile nano antenna in a THz regime with filtering features
Abstract:
This paper provides the design and study of a two-port silicon-graphene aerial in this regime. Some of the unique features of the designed aerial are (a) with the help of the antenna fusion approach, the designed aerial itself behaves as a bandpass filter in terms of the gain feature; (b) the metasurface lens placed above the two-port aerial enhances the gain (about 9.5 dBi) within the functioning band; and (c) the perturbed circular slot helps to generate circular waves within the working band (2.5-3.05 THz). Graphene coating over ceramic assists in adding frequency agile features within the operating band. The results obtained from CST-MWS and HFSS confirm its operating band within 2.31-3.15 THz, with a separation level of around 25 dB. Broadside radiation and a good value of diversity confirm its applicability for THz-built cellular uses.
