Multidimensional crosstalk analysis in autostereoscopic displays: integrating subjective and objective evaluations
Abstract:
Autostereoscopic displays enable three-dimensional viewing without the need for special eyewear, positioning them as a key technology in three-dimensional imaging. The issue of crosstalk, defined as the unintended leakage of light between adjacent viewing zones, continues to hinder advancements in image quality and viewer experience. This study presents a comprehensive analysis of crosstalk in autostereoscopic displays, focusing on viewpoint crosstalk, color crosstalk, and pixel overflow. By leveraging a computational integral imaging model, this research simulates the mechanisms of crosstalk, establishes objective evaluation metrics, and incorporates subjective assessments to reflect human visual perception. The results are expected to provide insights into the thresholds of crosstalk tolerance and the impact of crosstalk on image fidelity in realistic displays. This evaluation framework lays the foundation for optimizing display design and enhancing the user experience in autostereoscopic systems.
