Case report: human cutaneous alternariosis
Mycopathologia
|November 1, 1985
Abstract:
A case of human cutaneous alternariosis caused by Alternaria alternata on the right toe of a man is described and illustrated. Predisposing, debilitating diseases were not detectable. The alternariosis diagnosis was based on the visualization of Alternaria elements in the KOH-preparates and on the repeated successful cultivation of Alternaria alternata. Following local therapy the skin lesion healed.
