Clinically unsuspected pyelonephritis in children younger than 7 years

In young children, computed tomography (CT) diagnosed pyelonephritis is often unsuspected and may have negative urine tests. Follow-up imaging is recommended to check for scarring and vesicoureteral reflux (VUR).
