[Sexual harassment in the workplace : what resources are available for general practitioners ?]

Sexual harassment in the workplace has an adverse impact on working conditions, undermining the professional identity and integrity of workers, and affecting their emotional, relational, familial, social, and professional lives. Sexual harassment can also have adverse effects on an individual's health, mainly on mental health (depression, stress and anxiety, and generally impaired psychological well-being, toxic consumption). In Switzerland, 65% of women and 35% of men have experienced this form of violence. This paper presents an overview of medical, legal, social, or professional resources that physicians could recommend to their patients who have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. It focuses on structures linked to the workplace to enhance physicians' awareness of these resources.
