Abstract:
Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos is an important economic development "Golden Triangle" in western Inner Mongolia, and it occupies an important ecological position in the construction of an ecological security barrier in Inner Mongolia. With the rapid development of the economy and improvements in urbanization, the frequent conversions of various types of land in the region have brought challenges to ecological security. Based on the land use data of 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020 in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos Region, at the scale of 5 km × 5 km grid, this study analyzed the dynamic transformation features of land utilization, ecosystem service worth, and scenic ecological peril in this area from the two dimensions of ecosystem services and landscape ecological risk, and a bivariate spatial autocorrelation model was constructed to explore the spatiotemporal dynamic changes and correlation between ecosystem service value and landscape ecological risk. The results of the study follow: ① In 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020, the total value of ecosystem services in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos Region was 167.661 billion, 166.572 billion, 164.669 billion, and 165.813 billion yuan, respectively. Grasslands and water bodies provided relatively high ecosystem service values. ② The landscape ecological risk levels were mainly moderate and lower, and the area of medium and lower risk increased. The areas with higher and high risk levels were mainly distributed in the east, while the west and south were mainly characterized by lower and low ecological risk levels. ③ There was a spatial positive correlation between the ecosystem service value and landscape ecological risk in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos Region, with the main relationships being low value-low risk and high value-high risk clusters. The high value-high risk areas were mainly distributed in the east, while the low value - low risk areas were mainly distributed in the west and south, with obvious spatial distribution characteristics and strong regional significance levels.
