Reconstruction of orbitomaxillary defects necessitates a dual focus on aesthetic and functional outcomes. This involves restoring maxillofacial symmetry, ensuring appropriate orbital volume, and protecting critical neurovascular structures and adjacent anatomy. Successful reconstruction typically requires collaboration between ophthalmology and oral-maxillofacial surgery teams. Conventional reconstruction methods frequently employ titanium mesh, soft tissue flaps, and bone flaps to address defects. In recent years, advancements in biomaterials have introduced polyetheretherketone as a novel clinical option, capitalizing on its exceptional stability and biocompatibility. Concurrently, the maturation of three-dimensional printing technology has enabled the realization of highly precise reconstructions.

A 32-year-old female patient presented with subjectively reported sleep-related respiratory discomfort, ocular soreness, and excessive tearing. Imaging studies obtained at that time confirmed recurrence of the ameloblastic fibroma. In the present case, we successfully achieved precise orbitomaxillary reconstruction using patient specific, three-dimensional-printed polyetheretherketone implants in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team approach.

This strategy effectively minimized surgical morbidity while achieving satisfactory restoration of facial contour. The key advantages of this approach include the elimination of a secondary surgical donor site and the achievement of meticulous defect restoration.
