High-temperature strain measurement method based on scanning infrared signals
Abstract:
Strain measurement of turbine blades in engines has always been a challenging problem due to the harsh operating environment. This paper introduces what we believe to be a novel non-contact strain measurement method, the edge radiation scanning method (ERSM), designed for strain monitoring of high-temperature rotating blades. ERSM leverages the radiation difference between the high-temperature object and the background to measure strain. Experimental results demonstrate that the method achieves an error rate of less than 4%, with measurement accuracy improving at higher temperatures, which indicates significant potential for applications in aerospace engine diagnostics.
