Summary
Endoscopic nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomy (eNSM) is a safe and effective procedure for high-risk patients with genetic mutations. This approach offers oncologic safety and high patient satisfaction with no reported complications or recurrences in our study.
Area of Science:
- Oncology
- Plastic Surgery
- Genetics
Background:
- Patients with germline mutations (BRCA1, BRCA2, CHEK2, MUTYH) face increased breast cancer risk.
- Nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomy (NSM) aims to improve cosmetic outcomes while maintaining oncologic safety.
- Endoscopic techniques may offer advantages in minimally invasive oncologic surgery.
