Abstract:
Impact of glycemic status in a population with metabolic syndrome and overweight/obesity, free of cardiovascular diseases, on left atrial function and structure assessed by advanced echocardiography. The association of glycemic status with LA anatomical and functional parameters was estimated with multiple linear regression adjusting for potential confounders. Glycemic dysregulation was not cross-sectionally associated with markers of LA structural and functional abnormalities in this high-risk cohort.Image 1.
