Body contouring procedures in gender-affirming care is rising in popularity. These procedures help individuals achieve a body image that is more congruent with their gender identities, where the torso and lower extremities, have been cited as a source of gender dysphoria. Despite this, literature focused on non-chest body contouring in transgender patients is lacking, where current techniques are modeled after cis-gender body contouring procedures. This article explores the role of non-chest body contouring in gender affirming care, with a review of existing literature and surgical techniques. Concepts discussed include torso feminization and masculinization, skeletal modification, and extremity masculinization.
