Abstract:
Across mammals, the dorsal lateral geniculate nucleus (dLGN) is innervated by the superior colliculus (SC). In this issue of Neuron, Fei et al.1 employ a colorful approach to probe this pathway and find that within the dLGN, retinal and SC inputs collaborate to code the direction of visual movement.
