This paper tackles adaptive designated-time stabilization for a category of uncertain nonlinear systems subject to time-varying asymmetric output constraints. The primary technique is to construct an event-triggered parameter estimation related to an optimization-based strategy. In terms of improved transformations with a refined performance function, we create an adaptive designated-time stabilizer to resolve the singularities arising from infinite control gains at the designated time instant, avoiding numerical blow-up and unifying the control design for both constrained and unconstrained systems. Compared with results in prescribed-time stabilization framework, our approach not only guarantees that the state of closed-loop systems enters a compact set by any designated-time instant, remains within it thereafter and eventually hits zero, but also effectively estimates unknown parameters within a finite time. Finally, we employ the control of the electromechanical system to demonstrate the practical effectiveness and superiority of the developed strategy.

Feedback control systems
Linear feedback systems are theoretical models that simplify analysis and design. These systems operate under the principle that their output is directly proportional to their input within certain ranges. For instance, an amplifier in a control system behaves linearly as long as the input signal remains within a specific range. However, most physical systems exhibit inherent nonlinearity...
