SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY. These toxic substances have deleterious effects on fertility and fetal development and can cause cancers, chronic, serious, and transmissible pathologies. To reduce the ecological footprint of medical practices, recommendations highlight the need to optimize the use of equipment and products in maternity, while limiting waste and energy consumption. The Ecomaternité initiative (AP-HP) encourages the implementation of eco-responsible practices and aims to raise awareness among caregivers while educating families on environmental issues.
