Abstract
None:
Osteoarticular infections are common in children, but the host response with respect to various pathogens is poorly understood. In a post hoc transcriptome analysis of bone and joint samples from 42 children with osteoarticular infections, subjects with bacterial infections were found to have a distinct pattern of gene expression compared with subjects for whom no pathogen was detected.
