Aryl semicarbazides as aryl sources for mechanochemical oxidative Heck coupling by C-N bond activation

Abstract:
Herein, by using aryl semicarbazides as aryl sources, the oxidative Mizoroki-Heck reaction of semicarbazides with alkenes has been achieved under solvent-free ball-milling conditions without external heating. This approach offers a facile and sustainable route to cinnamates and stilbenes, featuring broad substrate scope and applications in the synthesis of targeted functional molecules.
