Abstract:
Due to the low heating efficiency of heat pumps for tobacco curing caused by the low external environment in high-altitude areas, the high energy consumption and unstable heating is easy to occur. According to the heating model of flue-cured tobacco needed, the integrated crew of the air-source HP heating/dehumidification equipment was designed, primarily consisting of the heating and dehumidification systems of the bulk curing barn. Frequency conversion technology was used to quantify the output power of the two heating systems in line with different temperature and humidity in the tobacco curing process. The test results showed that: (1) When the ambient temperature is higher than 18 °C, the maximum power of the two systems working together is 14 kW; in the tobacco curing process, the dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures fluctuate slightly around the designed value, meeting the tobacco curing requirements at different stages; (2) The coefficient of performance (COP) of the heating system hourly reached the maximum value of 4.35 kW/(kW/h) in the process; and the average specific moisture extraction rate (SMER) and the capacity of the dehumidification system in a single barn reached 23.85 kg/h and 3.06 kg/(kW/h) respectively. In conclusion, the structure and control program of the equipment could be used as a reference for drying other similar products.
