Abstract
None:
The healing process at the osteotomy site can result in visible mandibular contour irregularities, compromising aesthetic outcomes and requiring secondary corrective procedures. This study provides a literature review on the risk factors for mandibular notching following bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) while also proposing an original preventative technique.
