Glyoxalase 1 is a proadipogenic gene

Glyoxalase 1 (GLO1) plays a role in fat cell development. Blocking GLO1 in obesity models impaired lipid accumulation and glucose uptake, suggesting GLO1 is important for adipogenesis.
