Sulfonyl fluorides serve as privileged synthetic building blocks with a broad utility. The development of cost-effective and efficient synthetic routes to these motifs remains a significant challenge. Herein, we present a novel trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA)-mediated one-pot protocol for the efficient conversion of benzyl sulfides to sulfonyl fluorides. This transition-metal-free strategy operates under mild conditions, exhibiting exceptional operational simplicity and low cost while enabling diverse alkyl and (hetero)aryl sulfonyl fluoride construction with enhanced synthetic utility.
