The growing demand for advanced energy storage technologies has accelerated significant advances in solid-state lithium metal batteries (SSLMBs). Among which, Li1+XAlXTi2-X(PO4)3 (LATP) solid-state electrolyte has attracted much attention due to its competitive room-temperature (RT, 25 °C) Li+ conductivity, air stability and economics. In this study, a composite electrolyte consisting of uniformly eLATP nanosheets embedded in a PVDF/LiTFSI matrix has address the limitations of ionic conductivity and interfacial stability in quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries (QSSLMBs). Significantly, the eLATP nanosheets are uniformly distributed in the PVDF/eLATP composite, which greatly improves the ionic transport capacity and mechanical strength. Simultaneously, such uniform distribution ensures uniform current density and stress distribution, which effectively inhibits the growth of lithium dendrites. As expected, the Li/PVDF/eLATP/Li symmetric cells achieve an outstanding long-term lifespan of 6500 h at 0.1 mA cm-2, with 1000 h of efficient operation even at 0.5 mA cm-2 at RT. In addition, full cells paired with the LFP cathodes achieve 91.08 % capacity retention after 1000 cycles at 1C, with an ultralow average decay rate of 0.00036 % per cycle at 5C(RT). Furthermore, the Li||NCM cells demonstrate exceptional cycling stability under 2C conditions at 25 °C. Overall, a novel composite solid-state electrolyte with excellent electrochemical properties has been engineered.
